from the shoulder to the wrist, and consisting, in the 15th and 16th
centuries, of many parts.

brassart In plate-armor, joined plates of steel which protected the
upper part of the arm, from the elbow to the shoulder. When the front of
the arm only was shielded, the pieces were called demi-brassarts.
